Dr Vaanathi Paulvannan MBBS and Dr Reetu Maliekkal MBBS
Hey Everyone!
Both of us are recently graduated doctors from India. We finished our MBBS in 2018, after which we decided to pursue a medical career in the UK.Â
There are other blogs available online, but we felt that there were certain things that we would have appreciated being explained a bit better.Â
We really hope this blog is useful to those of you who are trying to reach the NHS regardless of which country you are coming from.

HOW TO GET GMC REGISTRATION
In order to work in the UKÂ either as a trust grade job or training job, you are required to get registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
We will be explaining the PLAB route to get registered. There are several other routes, but as this is the one we both took, we’re going to give you a run through of that.
